Quick answer
Choose the Evry Large if you want an expandable, lightweight polycarbonate suitcase at a lower price. Choose the Vault Large if you prefer a reinforced aluminum frame and oversized wheels for maximum durability on long international trips.
Price vs. durability: the main trade-off
The Evry Large Luggage costs significantly less than the Vault Large, making it an accessible option for travelers who need generous packing space without a premium price tag. Its expandable polycarbonate shell is durable enough for most trips, but it does not have the reinforced frame of the Vault.
The Vault Large Luggage costs more because it adds a reinforced aluminum frame and oversized spinner wheels. These upgrades improve stability and roll smoothness on rough surfaces, which matters if you travel frequently or navigate airports with uneven floors.
Organization and security differences
Both suitcases include TSA-approved locks, but the Vault Large offers a more structured interior with additional organization features. If you pack many small items or want compartments that keep everything in place, the Vault's interior layout may save you time.
The Evry Large focuses on open, expandable space. Its simpler interior lets you pack bulkier items like jackets or shoes more freely, but you will need your own packing cubes or pouches to separate smaller items.
Trade-offs to consider
- Budget vs. long-term investment: The Evry Large costs about $218 and covers most travel needs. The Vault Large costs about $341 but adds a reinforced frame and larger wheels that may last longer under heavy use.
- Expandability vs. structure: The Evry Large expands for extra capacity. The Vault Large does not expand, but its structured interior and aluminum frame keep contents organized and protected without shifting.
- Weight and maneuverability: The Evry Large's polycarbonate shell is lighter, making it easier to lift into overhead bins or car trunks. The Vault Large's reinforced frame and larger wheels add weight but improve rolling stability on uneven terrain.
